Kaleidoscope of Wings 56 Piece Hand-Cut Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle
Kaleidoscope of Wings
Hand-Cut Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle • 56 Pieces • Approximately 7" × 7"
A gathering of butterflies becomes something entirely different when the puzzle itself takes flight.
Kaleidoscope of Wings features the extraordinary butterfly artwork of French artist and designer E. A. Séguy, from Plate No. 15 of his 1925 portfolio Papillons. Nearly a century later, Séguy's brilliant colors and intricate patterns remain remarkably vibrant—and seem almost made for a wooden jigsaw puzzle.
The puzzle is hand-cut to follow the natural outlines of the butterfly composition rather than being confined to a traditional square or rectangle. Brilliant yellows, rich browns, flashes of red and striking blue combine with the unusual silhouette to make the completed puzzle as enjoyable to display as it is to solve.
A Puzzle You Can Feel
The surface features a raised relief texture that adds dimension to the intricate patterns of the butterfly wings. The photographs can't completely capture the effect; it's something best experienced with the puzzle in your hands.
As you sort and assemble the pieces, your fingertips encounter the raised details and subtle variations across the surface. That tactile quality adds another dimension to the solve and makes each piece as interesting to handle as it is to examine.
And don't be fooled by the 56-piece count.
Each piece is individually cut by hand in an organic, free-form pattern filled with curls, sweeping curves and unusual connections. There is no manufactured grid and no predictable piece shape to tell you what comes next. The irregular outer silhouette adds another challenge—there are no four straight sides and four corners to get you started!
Puzzle Details: 56 individually hand-cut wooden pieces • Approximately 7" × 7" • Irregular butterfly silhouette • Raised relief surface • Organic, free-form cut pattern • One-of-a-kind hand-cut puzzle
Every M Squared Puzzle is cut one piece at a time by hand, making the cut pattern—and the experience of solving it—truly unique.
